Okay, so I still have this Holiday fever and Mrs. homesickness is on my system (yet) again. I miss Philippines! my family, foods, places, definitely everything! 4 weeks was fast, and yes we're back in the cold country where Mr. Sun barely shows :( We just got back but can't stop thinking the time we're coming back in my hometown. I haven't start blogging since I came back cause my baby was and still sick, with cough and fever. I don't know if she was adjusting with the weather, from hot to uber cold. So yeah, family comes first. But hey I'm def back and I'm gonna start by this Haul-idays, this is purely cosmetics/beauty haul, I'm gonna be doing a separate fashion haul, but we were not able to shop till we drop since there was a lot occasions and it was holidays (people are everywhere! mostly in the malls) so I guess we had no time.

Affordable make-up favorites

To start off with my affordable make-up favorites, here are just some of the products I've been using for quite some time now.

Starting with Ever Bilena Two cay cake powder, would you believe I started using this products since I was in 2nd year college? Like 5 years ago. And yes, it never fails to give me a great coverage on my face! I remember the first time I bought it it was just for Php120.00, I think now the price went up to Php200.00 if I'm not mistaken. I've been using the same shade ORIENTAL, since then. I love this product! And since it's "two-way cake", you can easily use this one for full coverage simply by applying it on your face with a damp sponge.

Next up, is this brown eyeshadow from Penshoppe. I just forgot how much it is, but i think Php80.00 if I'm again not mistaken. Why I love this product? Simply because it can give me a neutral smokey eye look just by using this eyeshadow. I mean, who doesn't love neutral colors for everyday look?

San-san liquid concealer, is yet another fave product. Aside from it's affordable, it also gives me a good coverage on my eye bags. Or should I say eye luggage?  hahahah My only problem with it is that, I think the shade #1 which I have is too light for my skin tone and the shade #2 that I tried perhaps is darker. What I do is that I blend it well along with liquid foundation using a sponge to neutralize the color.

Next is NYX brow cake powder, I like it because the wax works perfectly with the cake powder. Since I already have thick brows, I just need to do some filling up on my brows. I wish NYX would sell the wax separately, cause it works great with any eyeshadow powder!

NYX Lipstick in shade of Thalia. Oh how I super love this nude lipstick! I can use this all day everyday. It's not drying nor super moist. For me it's perfect for everyday use since it's nude in color.

Elf eyeshadow primer, it's good to apply base before applying eyeshadow colors. First, it enhances the color of the eyeshadow when applied. It makes the color last for hours than using eyeshadow alone. It prevents eyeshadow to crease. Not bad for a Php120.00 worth of eye base.

Red lipstick swatches

Let's paint the town RED. For now, I got 4 different brands and shades of Red lippies. Just because I think it's the best shade that fits me or compliments my skin more. But honestly, I really don't know how to describe each color or what are the difference with them. Since they all just look same red for me. lol

Starting with my favorite shade as of the moment, got this from Isa Dora in shade of Femme Fatale, matte.

It is bright red in color, but when you just take a look at the lippie it looks like its more of blue tone in color but NOT! When I apply it even a single coat, it is bright red. I super love this color! It helps to brighten up my face. It is definitely pigmented. Doesn't wear off easily.

Second is a local brand from Philippines, Ever Bilena in the shade of STORM (also matte)

I love this shade, I discovered this through one of my best friends. I think this shade can look good on anyone. Fair to dark complexions. The only problem with  the product is, I'm having hard time to apply it. I thought the product was too matte so it's kinda hard to apply, especially that my lips are always dry :P but with 2-3 coats you're good to go! I just apply balm before applying this one to prevent my lips from drying.

If you don't know this brand, it is locally from Philippines, it can be found at any Department stores. I believe they now have an online shop,
Affordable products. As for the quality, I rate them 3.5/5 for this lippie only. But you can definitely check out their other products.

Next one is NYX in shade of Snow white (glossy finish)

This one is also a great red lippie, but I personally don't like glossy finish. Cause with my personal experience, glossy lippies tends to wear off easily than matte. So I like matte more than glossy finish

Last shade I got, MAC in shade of Diva. (Matte)

A dark shade of red, more of blue tone lippie. I personally like how pigmented it is. But for me, I don't use this one at day time, I like this more at night time, perfect for a dinner date with hubby or just a night of catching up with the girls. This shade reminds me of those vampires, Twilight perhaps? Cause it's a dark shade of red. If you're wearing this kind of shade, make sure to minimize the use of dark eye shadows, mascara and liquid liner would be fine to compliment this kind of shade.

But ladies, always remember that make-up are just tools to enhance your beauty NOT to cover them! Real beauty is not seen on how much make-up you wear or what brand or what color you use. It's better to feel and be at your best even without the most expensive make-up. :)

Thank you for reading! See you on my next blog!
